aurmine
I have a problem with my brand new mini pc intel N100. And windows 11. And more people are reporting the same problem with the snap videos, in the selection of games, the snap videos have sound but no video, just a black screen. I have tried ALL the codecs in the world and all different extensions for video, mp4, avi, flv and nothing. I have tried an older version of gameex with no luck. I have tried other frontends and they show the same videos with no problems in the same pc.... Even the gameex evolution shows OK the videos. So the problem is gameex being no compatible with some pc????
Draco1962
I split your post to its own thread. The issues reported by Jombee are related to older Arcade VGA which is a legacy product that has been losing support over the years. If you are having a problem, please describe it in detail, not "other people are reporting it" anf attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files for review. You brought up codecs. A few questions: Are you having an issue just with videos? Are you using ONLY using LAV codecs filters?
aurmine
Yes. The only problem is with the snap videos of the games in the selection menu of gameex. You hear them play but appear in black. I have installed only the lav code filters and no luck. I think there is no solution possible for this. I have read the same problem in other thread and the "solutions" was change to another PC, and it had the same mini PC than me. With the N100 Intel. Draco1962
Since the issue is occurring for your specidic N100 Mini PC build, there may not be a solution specific to it. Please attach copies of the previously requested gameex.ini and log.txt files for review. Also, confirm if this is the same N100 powered mini PC: Be aware that there may not be much that can be done if the issue is due to integrated GPUs as we have seen various issues in the past that have impacted some laptop or standard PC builds and the only alternative was to run an onboard GPU. In the mean time we do ask for the following info: Since the "Ni100 Intel" is installed in quite a few mini-PCs, please provide: Mini PC Manufacturer name and Model A manufacturers link to the one you purchased A purchasing link for your mini PC (i.e. Amazon, Best Buy, etc.) This information may help towards a solution or at least provide others another make/model to avoid. aurmine
Ou....actually is not the N100 having the videos problem, its the N95. My bad. I have the N100 also and that works ok with Gameex (videos included) but is not powerfull enough for some games of mame in 3d. The N95 on the other hand runs flawlessy all the games, but thats the one with the black videos. Draco1962
Please attach copies of your gameex.ini (located under \GameEx\Config or \GameEx Arcade Edition\config) and log.txt (located under \GameEx\Log or \GameEx Arcade Edition\Log) files as previously requested several times now. The N95 also sports an Intel UHD Integrated GPU (make not given in any stats for the model N95. Have you tried playing the .mp4 files directly through Windows Media Player? Results? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers? The link below refers to Windows 10 but the same applies to Windows 11. https://www.appgeeker.com/resource/can-not-play-videos-with-windows-10.html
aurmine
There we go! Sorry for the delay. I tried to reinstall the graphics but no luck. I'm trying now to install windows 10 instead. Let's see what happens. GameEx.ini log.txt
aurmine
I just delete Windows 11. Install windows 10 from scratch. Update everything. And just the exact same happens. Sound but not videos in the snap. It has to be the pc itself. Something in gameex is not compatible with this PC
Tom Speirs
I have noticed issues with high refresh display rates but not in the latest version. Get the latest version. You are not on the latest version. You did a fresh install of Windows 10 then I assume you did all updates but did not do updates for GameEx itself? 03:35:50.71 09/04/2024: GameEx Core x64: Version 18.56: Starting Log GameEx 18.64 I have also noticed issues with onboard graphics when you also have dedicated graphics. Switching to dedicated graphics for the app fixed the issues. Please confirm you have done both those things and also tried lav codecs? There was also a new version I uploaded last week. Thanks, Tom. Tom Speirs
Hi, I realise this is an older post but there is an issue rendering videos on intel 12th gen and beyond with internal graphics. This is addressed in the latest version. There is a setting to use software video rendering under display settings. It seems intel dropped support for vmr 9 in there drivers. PS: The Unity version on windows is also an option if you need 2k or 4k video support. Anything 12th gen or above can handle hd 60fps in software. I tested an n100 last week.
