Bezel on Vertical monitor

Hi been a while but back at my cab...

 

I took out the CRT as it had issues and went with a 27 inch LCD sat vertically, looks great ( I am not a purist) so the vertical games look great and the horizontal games are not to small or shabby Imo, so here's my dilemma, I went to try and load the GameEx top and bottom bezel for horizontal games, I renamed it to say "robotron.zip" and altered the lay file now when I load the game two things happen with bezel "on" in mame  the bezel shows but I can't see the game although i can hear it 🤔 but with bezel "off" the game magically fills the entire screen and does not look ridiculous at all!!   So I kind of fixed the issue in a way i didn't actually mean to, but i just want to know what i am doing wrong when the bezel is on and hides the game....

Hi there. Not sure of I understand entirely what you are describing. Can you do me a favor and attach copies of your gameex.ini, log.txt, and bezel files for review?

I am thinking that there is an issue with rendering transparent the space in between the bezel graphic.
