[RESOLVED] Combining Pinball FX3, MAME and Visual Pinball in one Pinball X Menu?

Hi everyone.  

I am rebuilding a cabinet that will include a combination of visual pinball tables, pinball fx, pinball fx 2, pinball fx 3, and MAME arcade games.  

Right now I have a situation where Pinball X lets me choose which System i want to play, before giving me the list of games in each.  

Instead, I would like to combine all systems into one Alphabetical wheel menu... but I have not been able to find a way to do that as of yet.  

As a first attempt I copied the XML from my Pinball FX 3 list into the XML file for Visual Pinball.   On the plus side it DID move all of the Pinball FX 3 games into the Visual Pinball menu wheel..... but..... when I try to load a pinball fx3 game from said menu.... nothing happens.   

So my assumption is that PinballX does not know where to go from within the Visual Pinball menu to FIND or LAUNCH the Pinball FX 3 game items that were added via xml.   

Any help on how to solve this would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Did you check documnetation ?

It's a long time ago for me, that I checked this, but thought in the list there's an 'all tables' entry that will show all tables.

If you disable systems, you should see all tables in one list

You can also combine differrent systems together with groups.

You can follow the documentation that is provided with the PinballX installation, or use DBM. If you click the settings button within DBM, you will be able to create lists and groups

I checked.
If you disable Systems, yo have by default all tables.

You can created lists and filters.
if you filter on it, you can go back by pressing the menu and go to all tables 

 

 

this menu is also available if you enable the system list

Yeah... i tried that originally.  But when I disable the system settings.... all I see is the list of the "last group" I opened.   So if I play a VP table I get the vp table list.... if I play a mame... i get the mame arcade list.  They don't combine.   It must be a group / list issue.... will attempt now to figure that out.  Thanks for the quick reply.  Will keep you posted

I figured it out!  Thanks for helping!  In the general settings i had one click luanch and show additional detail disabled... so I was not able to see the All tables option to select it.   Found it and now it is working.  Thank you so much.
