Well if you still want to use snes9x. Just use ver 1.38 or higher. It supports auto hide of the mouse pointer. This may or may not get rid of your flicker issue.

Post your log file from gameex after the games exits back to GE. C:\Program Files\GameEx\LOG.

Make sure to use verify setup in Setup Wizard and note any errors.

Well I'm not sure what else to do. I dl the latest version and the pointer hides after about 3 secs. Not sure why you can't copy and paste to the forum.

I don't know if your save state is compatible. Dl the 1.43 version in this post of snes9x.

Well without your log file its really anyones guess. Most common problems are incorrect rom paths or command line errors. I would suggest turning on show desktop and and debug mode to see exactly what is going on. You can find both these options in your emulator config settings in setup wizard. Report back.

yes i have does both, in debug mode it just shows it run the command and exits back, and the cmd lines it this zsnesw.exe "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]", i even tried it with the -m and that dont help, do i need send keys, map key? run something before or after? is it bad the i have the latest verion (1.42)? does it need to be the dos version? should there be a advanced cfg set?

Does the emu work outside of GameEx?

Posted

Well, I'l, post my ZSNES config. A notable point though...

If you have ZSNES set up properly, it will not work outside of GameEx. This is due to the change you had to make in the zsnes.cfg file. So, if it's working properly outside of GameEx, chances are it's not set up properly.

I have to have two set up - one for PC play and one for GameEx play.

Anyways...

My GameEx ZSNES configuration:

By default, this line is

You need to change that unless you want GameEx to show your desktop.

I hope that's helpful. :)

yup its the same, and it wont work with or with out the gui disabled, btw if the gui is disabled then how do i get access to the game genie?

Posted

You can't access the game genie within GameEx anyway unless you disable mapkeys and leave the GUI visible... which defeats the purpose of running SNES in the arcade cab. That's just my opinion of course.

There's no shortcut key that I'm aware of which brings this feature up.

I have no clue why your mouse will not go away. Its supposed to be automated. Are you waiting a few seconds, minutes?

update, well i switch to OpenGL Bi-Linear in the output imaging processing in the display cfg are and that fixes the screen issue, why directx issue? this is not even a week old clean install, no pc games on it even yet...but no luck on killing off the mouse pointer grrrr

(to reply on the wait of the mouse pointer question) i waiting mins & secs its a logitech optical usb mouse if that matters

Are you using a pointer other then windows default? I doubt this has any affect. Just guessing.
