In your SNES9x config within GameEx, do you have Show Desktop set to 'No'?

not using in a arcade cab, for htpc. but anyway if i do diable the gui i caouldnt add gg codes in at all?

Not unless you patch the ROM, and I wouldn't even know how to go about doing that. There might be a command line argument (which I doubt) but even then, you would have to treat each SNES game as an emulator. That's not very practical IMO.

Just to make sure, were back fixing the snes9x (win) yes? if so, then it set to yes, otherwise ill get sound but no picture, i been talking back and fourth with the snes9x forums users and they haven't got a fix either, i tried my mouse sensitivity, it s at normal, I even slowed it down, no help there. they also mentioned hires mouse?!

All my troubleshooting days, I've never seen such problems. I apologize for my lack of helpfulness - but with the not being able to post logs and other crazy issues you're having, I think it's time to start thinking about wiping your HD out and starting again fresh. Just don't forget to burn your ROM collection first. :(

We need a LOG file. If this really is a mouse pointer issue within SNES9X, you may be better suited asking your question on their forum. I have both set up (SNES9X and ZSNES) and I can't reproduce either error in my own gaming environment so I don't know what to tell you.

I think the root of your issues is your inability to post a LOG file. Cutting and pasting is a lot less tedious than trying to single out small imperfections in a command line driven emulator.

Baby steps, sir (or ma'am). ;)

yeah, remember i cant a log it times out, i can even post 1 line or word from the lost wont allow me, as crazy as it sounds, yup!

Starting with this:

15:55:38.1 12/29/2006: Running: cmd.exe /c C: snes9x.exe "C:\Emulators\snes9x-1.43-win32\roms\Legend of Zelda, The.sfc" -hidemenu

I doubt it will make a difference, but try adding the -hidemenu switch before you input the ROM path and see if that helps. Your line will then look something like this:

15:55:38.1 12/29/2006: Running: cmd.exe /c C: snes9x.exe -hidemenu "C:\Emulators\snes9x-1.43-win32\roms\Legend of Zelda, The.sfc"

Like I said I dunno if that'll do anything, but give it a toss. :)

well if you referring to sp2 its into the xp cd already, and btw this is a clean install remember

I remember. But the mere fact that you are having problems pasting your log file. Show signs of other problems that may need to be taken care of first.

Posting the log file could just be problems with the forum timing out. I've had issues here before, so that would probably relate more to his ISP/modem/speed/location etc.

puppetj: The only thing I can suggest right now is that you export all your emulator settings, then uninstall GameEx (then manually delete the C:\Program Files\GameEx folder to make sure it's completely gone) download the latest version of GameEx, then install again and import back all your emulators. At least then we know you have all the default settings is GameEx.

Not to poke holes in the Jiffy-Pop tin but...

I don't see how that would affect his mouse pointer problem. That sounds more EMU-specific. So, if you're gonna reinstall GameEx, make sure you reinstall SNES9x as well. Like Kaze said though - make sure you export your EMU settings first! :)

well after i did a reformat /reinstall again, newer bigger hd i still have the mouse pointer issue, and this is now on xp pro not mce 2005 like before, i even tested it on another xp pro pc still doesn't go away!

hmmm ehh?

As an experiment, try unplugging your mouse and see if the pointer dissapears then. If snes9x autohides the mouse cursor, then I assume it autoshows it when you move the mouse. Perhaps your mouse is sending mouse movements when you knock your cab.

its not a cab, its a htpc, i can like the mouse there for hours and it wont go away, the muse on both pc i tried are logitechs optical wheel mouse (white tops)
