Tom Speirs
I really like Cyberpower too. Its normally my go to when I don't want the pain of building myself.
Draco1962
My only complaint is that they do not provide a copy of the component manuals that go into the build. I can find most of them myself but it would be a nice thing to at least provide links to the product pages for ease of access for those that actually read them. So far I am liking my purchase and slowly adding content to it.
Tom Speirs
Yeah, they keep it bare. Not recently but i've been missing other things in the past. They provide a full description of whats in there though for the most part other than gpu and sometimes RAM.
Draco1962
I will keep an eye on temps. I may need to add some fans to vent through the top if I notice temps getting very high under load.
Tom Speirs
I don't think temps are a big a deal as people make out. Unless your overclocking I don't consider it that important and everything thermal throttles these days.
Draco1962
I had issues with my prior build initially, but resolved with a more robust heat sink/fan combo and adding a few intake fans from the front. Unfortunately, the thermal throttling was almost non-existent on that Intel mobo.
Draco1962
So far so good. I was able to run Star Wars Squadrons at full detail 1920x1080 at 120hz and it is beautiful! My game play with a HOTAS was ugly. I will need lots of practice. LOTS.
Draco1962
I could put a down payment for a decent car for one of these, but damn do I want!
Draco1962
I decided to add a sensor panel to my rig. I will use AIDA64 to provide the system data sent to a Zyyini 8.8 Inch IPS Display, Aida64, CPU GPU SSD Data Temperature Monitor, 1920x480, IPS Full Viewing Angle, PC Case Bottom Screen, for RPi, Linux, Windows. The purpose is to provide at-a-glance system stats, such as temps, fan speeds, network states, free drive space, etc.
Draco1962
Here is one that I mocked up via AIDA64 using Rivatuner to capture FPS - I am not convinced that this FPS is reading correctly as it was showing values at 2K+ when running Star Wars Squadrons. This is a screen capture at 1920x480 so it will be a little larger than the size of the image within the post since the screen is only 8.5" long vs clicking to see it in the larger view. Another view with dials slightly modified with a "red" zone:
