What's new since 2008 or so?  We all know Tom is always hard at work, I only know of playing GameEx from back then.  What should I configure in my new setup playing around?

I have a nice hyperspin setup with XML I can read to output some kind of GameEx configuration.  Back in the day I remember it was all ini files or something, I dont even know how to configure gameex programatically.  Do you just dump games into it and set a system and it can reference video files like hyperspin?

It's late here and I am sleepy, but I will play with it soon.  I just wanted to say hello to everyone and to talk

Welcome back! Pretty much start with the emulators you have, make sure they work directly through the emulator first. If they are command line based then they will work fine through GameEx generally.

Next, launch the Setup Wizard and go through each page enabling/disabling features, and setting up your emulator paths. While a little dated, the GameEx Setup Wizard Wiki is a good guide to follow.

If you run into any issues/errors, create a new thread, following the How to ask for help guide.

Cool.  I think I'm uninstalling and using evolution.  The base gameex images used in the app look choppy on a wide screen HD monitor.

The latest versions of GameEx and GameEx Arcade Edition shouldn't have any chop. Of course, not knowing much about your OS or anything I won't be of much help. 

Like HS, there are themes with different base images.
