Game-ex ROCKS! I'm a newbie and have a few questions. Thanks in advance. I've already felt welcome here. :)

1. Can I import my existing favorites from mame32? where are the favorites stored in Game-ex?

2. I'd like to change mapkeys to a different key instead of Esc. is this possible?

3. I'd like to have my monitor shut off at the specified time of inactivity but game-ex prevents this. Is there a way around this?

4. Can I set Game-ex NOT to show screensaver?

Thanks for your answers. One day I'll be able to answer someone's question. :D

1. Nope. Sorry... :(

4. Yes. Go to the last page of your Advanced Config and change the 'Enable Attract Mode' to 'No'

2. From FAQ:

"Q: Can I map the the keys and buttons GameEx uses to something else on my keyboard or game controller?

A: Yes look in the GameEx 'Config' folder for a file called custominput.ini. Open this file with notepad (Start - Run - Notepad - {OK}). For a keyboard - reference the file 'scancodes.txt' and put the appropriate scan code number after the equals sign for each navigation control in custominput.ini. For a game controller use the appropriate button number. To see what your buttons are on your controller, test the game device via windows control panel.

To then use the custom input configuration, turn it on under the input settings in the configuration application."

i see that but what i need is: when running emulaters such as nestopia, i'd like to be able to escape and go back to the game-ex gui by hitting the leftbracket key. (that's what i use on my controlpanel to escape from mame). Is this possible?

Not as of today, but you can write a request for that feature.
