I have just started using the 3DO emulator Freedo and I have a couple of questions for the experienced.

First, I am using Joytokey since it doesn't support gampads natively. I have this set up as the alsolaunch command in the gameex config, but after I am done is there anyway for gamex to shut it down? Gameex and my other emulators get a little confused becuase its like I am hitting a key on my keyboard at the same time I am using my gamepad.

Second, has anyone used Freedo and will this play multi disc games. I only ask here because several people asked in Freedo's forums and were never answered and I figured I would tack it on here if anyone knew.

Thanks for the help

You should setup JoyToKey as a LaunchBefore cmd not Also Launch. The way then to do it is setup a 'launch on exit' command, to close/end process for JoyToKey.

There are a few easy ways to close a process. You can use tools such as AutoIt and BatchRun.

Someone else (retroguy) has done exactly this. See this post:

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help Tom it worked like a charm. Icould not get this to work by using the launch before, though. I had to stick with the alsolaunch command with a batch file to end joytokey afterwards. If I used the lauch before command it would launch joytokey but not freedo. Ayways, thanks for all your help.

I'm unable to find the command line options for freedo. Can you enlighten me? Thanks.

I don't use any command line options other than (freedowrapper.exe "[rompath]\[romfile]") without the ().

freedowrapper is here http://home.comcast....pviewer/3do.htm get the commandline wrapper (for loading 3do images, but you must have daemon tools installed). You must edit the config file that comes with it for you paths but it is pretty self explainatory.
