Easy question - Quit games with another key

Hi all,

I've been searching but can't get the exact info I'm looking for.

I launch PC games from Game Ex and many of them use the 'esc' key in their menu navigation which clashes with the global Game Ex 'quit game' default.

Where can I change the key that Game Ex uses as the global 'quit game' to something other than the 'esc' key on the keyboard, I'd like to use something a bit more obscure like an FKey instead.

I wanted to confirm currently this is not possible, but a few others have asked about this so I may implement it as a new feature.

First of all thank you so much for this piece of software, it really is amazing and makes my media system the envy of all my friends (I'll be donating soon - well worth $25 in my opinion).

Is there any way I can hack this for now? I don't mind hard coding it to another key - I just cannot use Game Ex with quite a few of my PC Games due to this conflict of hard-coded esc keys.

No way for now, although you can disable GameEx exiting with the Escape key. You can also turn off the map keys setting for the app or emu so it does not exit with escape.

Hi Notion,

Of you wanted you can set gameex to exit with a combination of buttons on your gamepad? This way you can still use the escape button in the pc game, and exit with a gamepad, or remote.
