I have a problem with the N64 emulater project 64 and GameEx, GameEx is seeing the roms but when i try to run a game in GameEx i get diverted to windows and a dos screen appears saying among other things "pause hit any key to continue" i get a few flashing screens and get taken back to GameEx and the selection screen again.

I'm not sure what else to try, i have the settings set to full screen and cant seem to get it to work,i'm not getting a GameEX error screen but a dos "echo on" and a "pause hit any key to continue" command.

I'm sure someone can help, thanks.

In the emulator configuration, turn off the debug option. That should get rid of windows and should get rid of the dos prompt. The emulator should work no matter what, so you may need to tweak a bit to get things running.

There is no debug option, thanks for trying to help.

There is an option in GameEx for debug. Go to the configuration utility (In "more apps" etc.) then find where you have your emulator set up. There will be a line like "emu_x debug mode." Turn it off. This should get you started.

Check the user submitted configs in this forum for your N64 emulator. I have it running fine with Project64, so if you still have problems I'll try to play with it tomorrow and give you a reply back. Good luck! :)

P64 works great on mine too. And that config is pretty much all there is to it. And although this may not be the place to discuss it, perhaps we should concentrate on setting up P64 now that you have GameEx going. They do seem to have quite a lot of activity on their forum, maybe some of your answers are there?

Does Project64 run okay on its own, without running GameEx first?
