Not returning to GameEx (blank screen)

Can anybody help me? I am having a problem when I try to return to GameEx after playing a Mame game. It just sits there with a blank screen. If I alt+tad I can see that the game is still running and that the Hide OS is running. Right now I have to kill GameEx to get out of the game.

ANY HELP OUT THERE?!?

I am still trying to figure this out......it seems like gameex will not exit out of mame, anyone have any ideas?

Please post your log, and confirm which version of MAME your using.

How are you trying to exit MAME?
