Hey all, I'm following TerryRed's excellent information on PinEvent, up until now I have not used FP within PinballX, just VPX and I load FP tables (Up until now I have only had SLAMT1LT tables) manually through BAM & FPLoader.

TerryRed's advice is

  1. Disabling the FP Backglass (PinEvent tables only):

    •   for PinEvent tables only, you want to disable the FP Backglass in a cabinet (using a front-end)

    •   both the FP Backglass and Arcade mode in FP Video settings must be disabled together (or tables won’t run correctly with the FP Backglass disabled)

    •   you also MUST have BAM’s FORCE ARCADE MODE enabled as well in BAM menu settings (this will only show up when you have FP’s Arcade Mode setting disabled)

    •   this is because you still need BAM’s Forced Arcade Mode to give a cabinet view and to

allow other BAM and PinEvent functions to work correctly

I have created some bat files to edit the registry for FP. All I would like to know is how to apply these?

I am setting up PinEvent tables as "other systems" as I want to be able to access Slam's tables through FP.

Where can I put these bat files in 'Launch Before' & 'Launch After' to have them work correctly?

Has anyone else done this successfully with PinballX?

I don't have FP setup, but as you decribed, you are on the right track.

You have created batch files that would modify the registry and you want to add it to the launch before and launch after.
this is an example I use for my other system "Visual pinball (p-roc)"
I just added some startup and close batch files in a folder and launch them during start and closure.

Does this answer your question ?

no problem mate.
Just the simple things that can help people.

The launch before and after can contain any 'launch-able' program

is the database manager easy enough to get my head around?

That was the purpose to create it. Just an easy to use tool that can be used by everyone.

We only dont have any videos that explains everything, but with the (included) manual, and the support forum,  you can use it as a pro.
