Hi all, was wondering if someone could tell me how I can change how much each table costs for future pinball, for example I want to set it at £1 for 1 credit.

many thanks

The frontend shows, opens and closes the tables.
The adjustments of each game must be made in the games, never in the frontend.
In addition, in the case of emulators such as Visual Pinball or Future Pinball, each table has independent settings like this, for example, since you must access the operator menu and adjust the prices in the ROM of each table that requires it.

For FP I don't know how, but VPX is different.

Older (mostly gottlieb to 1978) uses dipswitches to change the coin chute behavior. I submitted some adjustment for tables and those can pulled yp by pressing F6.

The easiest ones are the newer roms. Press mostly the open coin door button and select menu and navigate through it. You can set the ammount of credits what a token will costa and set the token value.

The difficult ones are the alfanumeric tables. These doesn't have dipswitches, but you need to use the manual to set it.

There are some VPforum threads about it.

I try to set all tables to, 1 coin = 1 game for my left coin chute (50 euro cent validator) and 1 coin = 2 games for right coin chute (1 euro validator)

I've made some documentation for myself how to set some roms to this

Like Mike, in Future Pinball I haven't even looked at it.
It all depends on the manufacturer, Stern's operator menu is not the same as Williams's, but in Visual Pinball, by pressing F2 you will see the VPinMAME Keys that that table uses and there it shows you the ones you will need.
In any case, it is an issue that does not have much importance as long as you do not want to charge for playing.
You are supposed to use Visual Pinball in your home, domestic use, the same is having to press the credits button once or twice.
And if you want to charge to play, you are misusing Visual Pinball and surely all other software.
As far as I know, no emulator, game or frontend for Virtual Pinball has a commercial exploitation license.

My pincab is on my attic (also my work room). I have coin chutes setup on almost every vp table I have. Why ? Not for commercial use. My grandkids love to use the coins and the validators in it.

I have a bag of 50 cents and euro coins and they can play with it. But it also have a coin button ( what is barrely used)

So I understand that people wants to setup the games for 1 coin is 1 credit

Yes it is for home use, and I have the same as Mike, my children want to use it

Like putting money in it to play, they get excited about it.
just can’t get the hang of how to change it tho, when I press f2 I get sound manager and when I press f6 I don’t get anything come up.

Ok thanks will take a look at that.

i have now found out how to get f2 and f6 up I just don’t know where I would need to change the settings to take 1 coin for 1 credit

Yes, as I said in my first posr. For the older rom tables, you need the manual to set it.

For new tables ( after the 90's ... damned , if new tables are after the 90's , I must be old :P), its the service menu -> adjustmemts and cucle all the options. I mostly set the value and coin door to cus, so I can set it up as I want.

Its not a simple setting with 1 coin is 1 pound.

No problem. If you start with this , and you get the feeling, it wil be much easier. For older gottlieb tables, I made some code that with f6 can be pulled up, but think I didn't do all tables ( pretty time consuming, to translate the dipswitches into a hex value).
