[RESOLVED] theme editor- how to use different background movies

Hi guys, I'm working on a custom theme for my arcade cabinate.

I made different video background for each emulator but when i change it via Theme Editor, it changes for all the menus, renaming the file in the media folder as bak.mpg.

I'm not talking about using game preview video files , but just videos that I made.

i guess im doing something wrong since the theme editor give me the option to load a video forn any emulator.

Already tried tinkerin with the ini files, but it didnt do anything

I'm also using custum menu.

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer anywhere.

I may be able to help. Can you attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files, along with a zipped copy of your theme? Thanks.

It may be a few days before I can respond with suggestions so thanks in advance for your patience.

thank ypu Tom, but I didn't find anything that uses different custom videos for lists, just pictures.

You know the file named bak? I would like to add different ones for every menu entry.

Can you suggest me one theme that i might overlooked?

You can find some examples in this theme and others in the downloads section for GameEx Themes.

hi guys, first of all thank you very much for trying to help me.

I tried both your suggestions  but it simply didn't work.

If I change the background switching the media files it just revert to default ones in the default theme.

If I change the video with the option on theme editor it shows me the right ones there, but when I load the theme it only uses bak for every menu.

I really don't know what I'm doing wrong:

Could be custom Menu? I tried to turn that off and it still didn't work.

Glad you got it sorted. I found that, as I became more familiar with theme creation, Ipreferred using the Theme Editor only for positioning elements and setting up the RSS feeds and fonts, while placing graphics and videos manually.

Please feel free to zip your theme and upload it to the repository to share with the rest of the community!
