in Rom path, do I set the directory to where the games are located? or to Daemon Tools that reads the dvd?

I am trying to run osme FM Townes games, and I'm unsure if I should set the directory to where the roms are loaded Daemon Tools or where the games exist on the Harddrive?

I can think of no reasons for pointing the ROM path to the Daemon Tools path unless the ROMS reside there.

I'm asking because they are cue/iso files so they have to be mounted in order to play.  Maybe the question I'm asking is how to I  automate to insert a virtual  dvd?  But I keep getting a no roms found, even when I have che3cked it by file explorer.

It would probably be helpful to know what emulator and game system you are trying to set up.
