I haven't done much looking into for PSP yet so I can't help ya there. If you want Nintendo stuff, get VisualBoyAdvance. It plays Gameboy Mono, Gameboy Color, and GameBoy Advance. Nintendo DS has a couple of emu's out but they're still crap right now. The only one thats the best is only available to devs right now, and they're keeping a tight lid on it's public release. For Sega, just use Fusion. It will run your GameGear just fine. Not sure what other handhelds you're looking into getting. There are a few lesser known systems like the Creatronic Mega Duck/Cougar Boy, some Game and Watches, and a few Tiger handheld simulators. I just grabbed one for the Bandai WonderSwan but haven't installed it and checked it out yet. The highest end systems are only in alpha or poor beta versions right now (namely, PSP and DS).

On the subject of Game & Watch games (URL's below), I emailed the dev a while back, asking if there were any special hotkeys to start a game using keys only, and the answer was a definite "no".

Pity - some of those games rocked me to sleep as a child :)

What input does it use? Maybe we can make a wrapper for it?

What handheld do you have?

It uses keys for the joystick and fire/jump buttons, but the game start is done by mouse only.. (for most of the Game & Watch ones, anyway - not sure about the other games on those two sites).

Whats the best way to simulate mouse movement? AutoIT? or is there something more graceful out there for this sort of thing?

Cheers,

Brett

Yeah, it's called C++ ;) I can write a wrapper to click any button directly. So if that's all it needs that is easy. You may be able to write an AutoIt script, but for me I know C++ already so I would use that. Show me a screenshot and give me a link to the program you want and tell me exactly what you need done Eg. Click this button, enter this here, blah blah blah and I'll tell you if I can write a wrapper for it.
