Hello All!  I noticed today that my PINDMD3 isn't working through PinballX, though it is when I use the cmd outside of PinballX.  I've been messing around with my cabinet for a few hours and I'm not able to fix it.

My command line is noted below and I'm using v1.8.0.  Is my command line correct?

Should anything be run as admin?

I'm running win10 64bit so should I use the 64bit version of dmdext?

dmdext.exe mirror --source=pinballfx3 --no-virtual --quit-when-done -d pindmdv3

Thank You!

I have the same device and using the 32bit version as well
I only have the fullpath to the exe :

C:\Pinball\DMDext\dmdext.exe mirror --source=pinballfx3 --no-virtual --quit-when-done -d pindmdv3

So it seems I needed to have the dmd.ext in both 64 bit as my Pinballx is in 64 bit (Im running Win10 64bit).

However, it seems that I can't get the colors to change from Orange (ex: green DMD set on Monster Bash, orange on PinDMDv3).  Below is the command line that I'm using:

mirror --source=pinballfx3 --no-virtual --quit-when-done -d pindmdv3 -p com3

Nothing is run as admin.

I wonder, should I use 32 bit PinballX and dmdext.exe?  Roll back to 1.7.3 version of dmdext?

I don't understand.

Do you only have issues with your dmd when launching from PimvallX and is it working out pbx fine ?

If PBX 64 bit is working for you, keep it. Programs that run 64 bit has a better memory management.  And apps that are 32 bit can be used as well.

I run 64 bit of PBX as well, but have the 32bit of dmdext.exe. if it is working as you configured, just leave it

Not sure about monster bash. Could be that Freezy uses that color.  I think I have all the williams tables in orange as wel, but neex to check it on my cab. I normally play MB in vpx

My apologies, I'll clarify....It seems that all is working well w/64 bit PBX and FX3, except that using memory grabber doesn't change colors (always orange).  This is true with a virtual dmd through freezy's dmdext as well.

Using the  --fx3-legacy  flag gets colors for Fx3 (ex: Shaman is red, etc.) but it looks nicer w/memory grabber.

Yes, I use memory grabber as well. Most 'normall' tables are in cor (when I used it the last time).

So, yiu are saying all is orange ? Or only the latest 5 packs ?

I thgink all.  My original post was regarding pbx not working with dmdext but getting both on 64 bit fixed that.

Now, it seems all fx3 tables have monocolor dmds coming through dmdext.  This is true inside or outside of pbx, and virtual dmdext or through pindmdv3.

As far as I remember,  all the tables of fx3 are in mono colors.  The colors can be different per table, but no multicolors

Yes. My games (exvept the bally and williams) are all in a mono color.

See my real dmd videos I created. All from original frams I captured with freezy.

I will check if mine are still in color

Just checked and indeed all is set to the original orange red color. Not sure when that happen :P

You need to ask freezy about it

(Could also be the FX3 version)

EDIT :
See the issue 258 :

Color is mentioned, so I never noticed it that it changed last year
