fjser
Hi guys, sometime recently, my attract mode has stopped working in GAMEEX. I am not sure exactly when it stopped working, but the only things I recall doing recently that would have affected are configuring GAMEEXTENDER (love being able to check my cab from work), and updating to the latest GAMEEX (using the auto update feature - I think its 7.2). Anyway, when attract mode starts, it turns the screen black, begins to load the game, sometimes i see the loading screen for the game, then it kicks back to gameex before the game begins.Any ideas what this could be? I have tried both Mame and Mame32 and neither work. Also, i used the 'last game' feature to verify that its not bad ROMS (they load up fine outside of attract mode). Thanks again for the great product

headkaze
You can get the log file in your GameEx directory under LOG\log.txt. The full default location is C:\Program Files\GameEx\LOG\log.txt
hansolo77
Thats the Home key. Does that make any sense?Could you try an older version of MAME quite a few versions back, and what version are you using? Maybe its that. That's very strange that it's detecting the home key being pressed. I don't have any keyboards attached to the computer, and i'm using the MCE remote. As for the version of MAME, I'm using the latest stable release (0.109.0.0) and never had this problem before. I only noticed it since the last GameEx upgrade...Just a quick update, I tried using version 106 stable that I also had installed, and it does the same thing. hansolo77
what version did you upgrade from?I've always been right here with ya, getting the latest versions whenever it's available. Now that I think about it, I might have done the upgrade through GameEx and not a direct download... I'm always telling people that they should do a direct download, and never even thought about doing it myself. Needless to say though, the version I upgraded from was whatever the last most recent was, 7.01 I believe. I noticed you posted a couple of exe's to try. Before I do that, I'm going to attempt a complete refresh and download GameEx's installer from the web again. If that doesn't work, then I'll try your exe's next.
