Change this - trust me. I had some issues with things similar to yours, and found that the "additional systems" had the issues while configuring as the main visual pinball system did not. Make VPX your primary system since you will spend most of your time in there

Found it thanks, wasnt expecting ti to be on the other side of the list... quick question - anyone had experience with getting this working? ive tried multiple settings on my tv, and in all cases, the screen either goes black (but can see the mouse cursor) or the program crashes...i do see the tv attempt to change resolutions...

Normally i am good at figuting this stuff out, but i cant seem to find the option to enable full screen (true) mode in VPX. i only see the windowed full screen in resolution list...am i missing something obvious? searching web isnt finding the answer for some reason.. i am running 10.2.1

it did work in the past for me...i see the link you sent explains that founding member would not have ftp..but the mail pinballx page still says its free ftp access...can someone confirm what i need to purchase to get access again?

yes on both counts..530 usually means an issue with home folder on the ftp server i think? ive tried my username and email address..same issue

i am getting error code 530 when logging into online.gammex.com with any of my ftp clients. can someone take a look?

switched to windows 8, issue is gone..loving pinballx so far

Hi Team - Wondering if anyone has seen this issue before. I have a two monitor setup plus a real dmd display. I have a bunch of dmd videos/images.etc loaded into pinballx. When I open pinballx the first time, i can see the dmd display either the video, image, or default pinballx video for the game i selected. Once i select a different game, the DMD goes blank and nothing is displayed. If i enter a game, the DMD works (assuming its setup for that game). When i exit the game, the DMD works again in Pinball X for the game that was just exited, but again when i move to another game, it stiops working again. Anyone have any ideas?

Quick question, I am moving form hyperpin to pinballx - The current VP tablets are set not to autolaunch backglass in their scripts. do i need to edit each tablet script to change this to autolaunch? or can pinball x do this like hyperpin can? if so, how do i set this up? if i do need to edit the tables is there any script or bulk way to do it? thanks!

Hi all - Im a former active gammex (registered) user. I used it on my arcade cab for a couple years before I moved and my cabinet got damaged. Recently, I have been looking into a setup to rip and store all my dvds and blu rays onto a single system that would allow me to browse and watch them. I rememberd Gameex had a feature like this, but i cant seem to find any detailed info or demo videos of how this works. My biggest desire is to have a front end that can organize my collection well (browse by genre, pictures if possible, etc.) I plan to purchase a new PC along with an external SATA enclosure to store all the rips of the movies. Does anyone know if Gammex has any limitations in this regard? I will be connecting the PC via hdmi to my 100 inch projector system so im definately looking to be able to get full 720p/1080p on my movies..

Guys - stupid question here..Where can i find a tutorial on setting up these cd images for play by Chankast? I checked their forums, but no luck. Ive used just about every type of software out there except these mounting tools, and not sure where to start..

Mine is now working as well, although in my case, i just went and reset all the paths to MAME32..weird, but oh well..it works and i'm happy.

can someone refresh my memory on how to get the log in the middle of a session? i only know how to get one when it fails to start. also - I unplugged my keyboard to test once, and it still exited..

Hi guys, sometime recently, my attract mode has stopped working in GAMEEX. I am not sure exactly when it stopped working, but the only things I recall doing recently that would have affected are configuring GAMEEXTENDER (love being able to check my cab from work), and updating to the latest GAMEEX (using the auto update feature - I think its 7.2). Anyway, when attract mode starts, it turns the screen black, begins to load the game, sometimes i see the loading screen for the game, then it kicks back to gameex before the game begins. Any ideas what this could be? I have tried both Mame and Mame32 and neither work. Also, i used the 'last game' feature to verify that its not bad ROMS (they load up fine outside of attract mode). I believe Gammex presses OK when the ROM loads to get past the disclaimer screen. I would think it would be a one time thing though and that by thte time the rom is all the way loaded, the controls are released.

Anyone have a theme that utilizes custom backgrounds for variou emulators? My them design skills lack any type of polish, but I'd really like to have a Theme that has each emulator (NES, SNES, GB, etc.) have its own background. Thanks.

Awesome work guys. Small question, I haven't udpated in a while so this may have been done prior to this release. Do we have ability for custom backgrounds for different emulators yet?

If you ROMS are named in GoodTools format, I believe GoodTools can separate ROMS by country (have yet to try this on my cab, but plan to). Then, you can just eliminate the folders for the countries you don't want.

Does Gammex support different backgrounds/themes for different emulators?
