Newbie trying to get frontend to start

Downloaded tonight.  Going to build cabinet but wanted to try with a laptop connected to TV.  Tried to start one of the games.  Goes to black and then back to main scroll screen.  Any help would be great

Hi Ken - in order to be of help to you, we will need much more information from you.

- First, with which frontend do you require help? This site supports 5 different frontends: GameEx, GameEx Arcade Edition, GameEx Evolution, Touch-play, and PinballX.

- What game through which emulator? There are so many that there's no way to know unless you tell us this information and, if through an emulator, what version.

- Last, we need the support files. Again, until we know the answer to the first question, we can't advise to as to which system .ini file to provide in addition to the corresponding log.txt file, both of which we request that you attach (no copy and paste) to your thread when reporting a problem.
