I'm sorry to necro this thread, but I'm in a similar situation and don't understand the instruction of how to "point EVO to it." I've been all over the setup wizard and cannot find a way to do this, nor in the program itself.

For my purposes, I am trying to use Mesen, Mesen-S, and Mupen64, none of which show up in the Emulator Selection screen. 

Should I 'setup' a fake emulator in their places and edit the Launch List information to reflect the proper executables? I'd like to avoid having to manually create the xml file entirely from scratch.

"Point EVO to it" means set your directories to the locations for your emulator .exe, ROMS path, media etc.

Yes, you will have to use an available emulator slot to configure those emulators that do not appear as selectable options.
