Hey Guys,

After much trial and error (these things really DONT come easy for me!!) I have managed to pretty much work Daphne out and are able to get some laserdisc games up and running OUTSIDE of gameex.

I was wondering if one of you much smarter gentleman (or ladies) than I might be able to post a log of HOW Laserdisc games should be configured in gameex.

Many thanks for any assistance in advance.

Cheers

Are the games enabled in the gameex configuration? It should say something like "Game 1 Enabled". Make sure your framefile is setup in gameex config. Should be setup under "Game 1 options" for example. Make your your framfile path is correct. Most important is daphne turned on in gameex?

Hey LP,

Thanks for your post. Pretty sure I have daphne turned on in gameex (Have "Emulated Games" as a title which when selected takes you to "Laserdisc" and then onto some game names.

Also have got the games enabled (Was the one gameex feature I was confident about!).

I think my issue may indeed be framefile related. Can you elaborate / provide an example on "Make sure your framefile is setup in gameex"?

Here are some screen shots of my daphne config. You may be using the setup wizard so it may look different. All the options are still the same.

Just change the file paths to what you have yours setup as.

Hey LP

Early days but I got my first one up and working on Gamex thanks SOLELY to your assistance!!!!

Cant thank you enough mate - 5 minutes here probably saved me weeks of reading limited and conflicted stuff on other sites!!!!

I swear when I eventually get my head around this stuff Im going to post a "Config for Dummies" section for all the....."less skilled" members such as myself!

LP wondering if I could pick your brain on one more question? I know some of the Laserdisc games have known issues. Was wondering if you could let me know (if your aware) which ones do and dont work.

Again my thanks mate!

I love this forum! :)

Always great to hear those magic words - 'instead of searching other emulator forums' and 'the people are so much nicer \ more helpful \ more respectful here than any other emulation forum'

Best damn emulator forum I've ever spent any time in! Hell, best forum for ANYTHING! GameEx just plain rules! :)

.:And Stuart ol buddy... didn't mean to hijack your thread. I think it's great you wanna give something back... glad you got the help you needed promptly. All of us are here to help no matter what the problem may be. Welcome to the forum! :D:.

I'm glad you have it working. My knowledge comes from others on this board that have helped me. I was just like you when I started.

As for what games work. These are official known to work games.

DAPHNE is a Free laserdisc game emulator that allows one to play laserdisc arcade games on one's PC. Using DAPHNE, one can play the following laserdisc arcade games:

Astron Belt (Hitachi and Pioneer versions)

Badlands

Bega's Battle

Cliff Hanger

Cobra Command (multiple versions)

Dragon's Lair (US, LD-V1000 and PR-7820 versions)

Dragon's Lair II : Timewarp

Esh's Aurunmilla

Galaxy Ranger (Hitachi and Pioneer versions)

Interstellar

M.A.C.H. 3

Road Blaster

Space Ace (US)

Star Blazer

Super Don Quix-ote

Thayer's Quest

Us Vs Them

Once again. GJ!

G'day LP,

Many thanks for this. Havent had alot of time with other committments to progress much further but DO have Cobra Command and Astron Belt up and running beatuifully!! Had a bit of a go and experienced an error of some description with Badlands hence my question about whether it was a working game.

Will continue to push forward.

Again many thanks for all your help.
