headkaze
Good point jas.. I always thought the swap file was a set size too.. but there obviously seems to be a problem with pagefile with some users.
Ricci
Had the same issue and bumped up my virtual memory and it went away!
jombee
I detected that the page file was my problem by running GameEX in windowed mode with the windows task manager "performance" running. I noticed that when I ran a game in GameEX that the CPU usage spiked up to 100, and the page file was accessed, and stuttering happened. So, I went into the control panel advanced system properties and checked the option for no paging file on each drive. I then rebooted, and when you do this windows deletes the previous page file. I then tried running GameEX with no page file at all. Everything worked perfect, with no stuttering or pausing. I then went into the options and set up a new page file, rebooted, and everything still worked perfectly. So it would certainly seem that my page file was either fragmented or damaged in some way.
