Just updated GameEx, and now there is lots of input lag with everlog.txty device. It 's taking extra presses to enter menus, and navigate in general.  Games run fine. Log and ini attached.

Shows version 16.62 in the log file. Did you restart your PC after you noticed the lag?

Also, quite a few connected devices, including some wireless pads. Did you try removing but the bare necessities to see if it may be one or more of them contributing to the lag you are experiencing?

Google "Wireless Gamepad F710 lag" and you will likely come across quite a few posts about the Logitech F710 associated with input lag. I would start with totally disconnecting them first to see if the issue disappears.

I rebooted after the update a nd again once the lag was noticed. Attached is a log from the last run.

The strange thing is that these have been connected, (along with everything else), pre-update, and I've not had this issue before. I'll try running GameEx without the F710s tomorrow and share the results.

Be aware that Windows 10 updates can wreak havoc with various drivers and devices. If you recently applied updates, check for updated drivers from the manufacturer.

What version of GameEx did you upgrade from? What makes you think this is because of GameEx?

Not sure on what the exact version was, (don't think it's logged anywhere). GameEx interface is the only thing exhibiting any issues on the system,  (pinballx and standalone MAME work fine).

Wasn't a Windows update, none have been applied recently.

Too add more mystery and intrigue to this, I got up early to try removing the F710s, but before I did, I ran GameEx "just to see", and viola, no lag. Nothing was changed, all my input devices were attached, and the system hadn't even been rebooted again, it just works as before now.

No clue what caused it, but crisis over.

Thanks for the quick replies all!

Crisis over until someone turns on the microwave or any other causes of 2.4 gHz interference! :)

Glad it resolved itself!

I'm not ruling out solar flares, microwaves, gremlins, goblins, or acts of god. Just very relieved it's gone!
