djshal Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 So when im in the pbx menu and a game is highlighted, the preview for table is upside down, no matter what rotation i use, i will include all necessary ini and log and a screenshot log.txt PinballX.ini
Mike_da_Spike Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Looks like your source is not correct. You have 3 options : 1) With gamemanger/pinballx database manager, you can create videos of playfields, backglass etc. It will be saved in correct (rotated) direction 2)On ftp there are also good medias. Can be downloaded through both program if you are a paid member. 3)Last option will be to rotate your source vmedia 180 degrees with ffmpeg
djshal Posted August 13, 2020 Author Posted August 13, 2020 i am a paid member and have been using the files from ftp, and im not sure how to do thing in manager, i read on that, i also have ffmpeg but cant figure out how to run the app
Mike_da_Spike Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Did you download the content from FTP through gamemanager or databasemanager ? Or did you download it manually ? Are those images or videos ? Try to record 1 playfield with one of the programs (both uses PinballX)
djshal Posted August 13, 2020 Author Posted August 13, 2020 dl from database manager and ok ill give it a shot and let you know, thanks
Mike_da_Spike Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Btw. Do I see correctly in your screenshot, that your pinballx running in landscape mode i stead of portrait mode ? Your ini file shows false DesktopModeEnabled=False Try to set your rotate to 270 degrees and set your playfield screen in windows to landscape
djshal Posted August 13, 2020 Author Posted August 13, 2020 Yes you are correct, right now i am setting up everything so it is, but i have tested on portrait as well
djshal Posted August 13, 2020 Author Posted August 13, 2020 ok i did the test on one record video and it fixed it, am i to assume that if i do bulk record video it will fix all?

The bulk videos you can choose tto uncheck "skip existing files", or for visual pinball tables, check the "overwrite Older playfield Videos" Last option will check the datamodified of the VP table and if the datemodified of th emedia file. If media file is older than Vp table it will recreate the video
Tom Speirs Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 I did not read all this but note there are two folders for playfield videos and images, desktop and normal. Desktop videos should not be rotated and flipped. the regular folders support rotated flipped images and videos. You have something in the wrong folder.
djshal Posted August 13, 2020 Author Posted August 13, 2020 Hi Tom, Are you talking about in pbx media location for each system? If so i only have this
Tom Speirs Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Well, I think you have an unsupported image/video either way. Where did it come from and what resolution is it? Perhaps post it? I could be a bug, but dont think so. Can you upload a video so I can check? For non desktop mode the media needs to either be portrait or rotated flipped landscape. It looks like you just have a regular landscape video/image. Not sure how you ended up with it thoug.
djshal Posted August 13, 2020 Author Posted August 13, 2020 i got them from the ftp from database manager, let me record a video, now take in fact that it is in landscape now but i will flip to portrait and it does same thing
Tom Speirs Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 If your recording videos it should take care of it all.
djshal Posted August 13, 2020 Author Posted August 13, 2020 yeah i did a test record and it seemed to fix it, one last question. when i do the bulk record can i just set it and let it work without doing anything?

Yes. My records runs sometimes hours (if Tom implements something new, that compresses better)
