hey guys, everything is working fantastic, except my volume. i have them set to moust button 0 and mouse button 1. in mortal kombat 2 v9 the sound is real low, so i hit the mouse button and the volume bar shows up and i raise it to where it sounds perfect, then i hit my button 1 it flashes, and reboots the game, but the sound is still very low. i go back to the volume bar and it's raised to where i had it, and while in the volume bar screen the sound is good. once i exit it goes back to low. any recomendations?

hmm if I recall some of the Mame off shoots have auto volume adjustment...you may want to look into them.

MAME Plus!

ok, i got mameplus, and would like to launch the commandline version from gameex. i know how to do this, but what is the command for the auto volume? or if i open the gui, and go Properties/sound and tic the auto volume, will this save it to the config so when i launch the command version this option will already be enabled? (i've had problems in the past running the gui from gameex. at least i think that's what caused them. there is really no need since gameex does all the frontending.)

Well thus far I'm not seeing a commandline option to enable it...so I guess its config file must save the value and load it.

I havent actually played with this yet, just seen it as one of the options it listed.

yes it works beautifully. thanks for the link to mame plus nologic. alls i did was open the gui version and go to default game options/sound and ticked the auto edjust sound box. it saved to the config, and i'm golden, and the midway games i was having trouble hearing are loud and clear. i think i'll drink to that.
