Alan Ribas
Hi guys! I am trying to run the GameEx program together with RetroArch, but I have encountered some problems. No problem with running the games. In this regard, everything works perfectly. The whole point is that in the specific field of configuration of the MAME emulator within gameex it does not accept a different emulator besides the MAME itself. In summary: I tried to replace the command line in the MAME emulator configuration field: "MAME64.exe" by "RetroArch.exe (adding the other command lines here)" However, this did not work. To tell you the truth, I use the specific configuration of the MAME emulator just because it gives me the correct display of the names of the Roms. Instead of those simple names that are made up of arcade game files. If any of you could tell me how do I configure gameEx so that instead of being seen strange names in the Arcade game list, gameEx would show me the real names of the games, I would be grateful (to do this through the normal configuration of an emulator ). Alan Ribas
Thank you very much Draco1962 for the tip of this program !!! I was able to successfully create the .map file by scanning the roms I have in the games folder. However, duplicate names appear. Even though I activated the function called "megs sets". Do you have any other necessary settings to be made? ps.....among the options that the program has, I didn't check any. I just loaded the roms and had the .map file created. Draco1962
I would read through the Mapfile Maker thread to see if there are any recommendations from the author or other users of the app. You should be able to edit out some of the duplicates within the app or possibly loading the map file into an editor such as Notepad++.
