[RESOLVED] Custom intro video

Hi guys,

Pinballx is a very nice frontend for virtual pinball machines. I love it! There are many options to set-up, one of them is the intro video which I think is a great choice.

Actually i'm using last version and my pinball machine is build with 3 monitors. In the system they are configured as follow :

Monitor 1 for Backglass

Monitor 2 for DMD

Monitor 3 for Playfield

I have a question regarding the custom intro video. When the computer boot up, the intro video automatically starts on the Playfield monitor (number 3). Video orientation is horizontal so quite small comparing to playfield size. Is there a way to change/choose the monitor? I prefer to see the intro video on the backglass in full screen (number 2). It is much more impact for the players in my honest opinion.

Top setting should be to load a video for each monitor and play them concurrently. Of course video lenght must be same for each.

Please help me to find out how to launch the video on monitor 2 instead of monitor 3.

Think you just need to rename the file with _backglass

I will try and let you know if i solve this issue (for me).

I have just tested as mentioned above.

If i rename the file with intro_backglass.mp4, frontend starts up without the video even if it's enabled in the settings.

I have checked again the version installed in my pinball machine (sorry for confusion) but version is 3.2.0.

Maybe in this version there are some problems with the video intro? 

I have also tried to rename intro_dmd.mp4 just for testing but nothing happen.

While if i rename like intro.mp4 video is played on playfield.

Any idea?

You may need a playfield intro video as well as the backglass video for the backglass video to work. Copy the intro.mp4 and rename to test. 

If that doesn't work please update pinballx (you should probably do that anyway)
