[RESOLVED] No sound on Groovymame

Hi All,

I use GameEx Arcade on my PC connected to a CRT TV using Groovymame.

When I attempt to run games on Groovymame I have no sound but on the others emulators, dosbox and Scumm, I have no problem.

If I run the games directly from the groovymame interface they run correctly with sound.

In the attachment you find the ini file.

I am getting crazy with this issue.

Im not sure why GameEx would cause an issue with it perhaps the combination of Windows 7 but your using Port Audio with GrrovyMAME which is kind of an advanced setting. Not that it is bad.

 

Try changing:

sound                     portaudio

to

sound                     dsound

or

sound                     auto

 

xaudio may also work which is better performing than directsound.

 

I believe I have tried port audio myself before and didn't have that issue but it was windows 10.
