Bezel help

I've got Gameex installed and working.  I've tried many other FE, but prefer Gameex.  I have a cabiniet with MAME only.  using 0193b because it is the one I was able to get working.   I had some difficulty getting a matched version of MAME and a good romset.  But this works for what I need.

 

But, I'd have a wide monitor in my cabinet and would now like to set up bezels.  Currently it just displays the default MAME bezel.  

Is there a way to automatically download bezels for my rom pack?  And once I get the bezels (png's?) how to I get Gameex to use them?  I generally just launch Gameex Simple Mode since it does everything I need.

Thanks.  I've done a search and a bit of reading on this topic, but missed the Bezels for dummies post.  \That helps a lot.

 

I have bezel turned off in Gameex.  Now i just need to get the proper 16x9 bezels and put them in MAME.

Question:  each one needs to be in an appropriately named zip file?  is there a lay and png file in the zip?

 

Sounds like emumovies is the place to go for this (FTP).  I'll take a look.

All of the required files should be in the zip for each bezel set.

OK.  I am getting the hang of this.  Thanks.  I'm downloading a big pack of bezels for 16x9 screen.  I first downloaded one game as a test.  I used gunsmoke.  It works perfectly.  My issue is that the bezels cut off the top and bottom of the screen.  What I'd like, ideally, is bezels that are the same size as the stock Gameex one.  so I still get full real estate from top to bottom, and only bezel images on the side. 

Is there such a thing as a mega pack with bezel images like that?

"Your mileage may vary" is the watchphrase here.  I have found that some are better than others in not appearing over the tops or bottoms of the high scores.
