MCE Extender causes Gameex to exit

Hello all,

I have a problem. I have tried to search and have not come up with anything.

Some background:

Computer is running MCE 2005 the latest SP (2?).

An HP MCE extender in the bedroom.

Everything works fine outside Gameex.

Gameex works great with the MCE extender off.

The Problem:

When the MCE extender is on, gameex thinks that MCE got started and exits.

This is all with no action. Here is the revelant part of the log with the MCE extender on and starting Gameex from within MCE:

So basically, as long as I don't use the MCE extender, all is good. However, if the MCE extender is turned on while playing a game, it gets exited and the player of the game is not pleased. Some insight on this would be great. If it is a limitation of MCE, I guess I will suffer. If it is a config problem, please let me know. If anyone else has this problem, let me know too. Please shed some knowledge!

I haven't gotten that far yet....still getting all my Emu's in order before I start playing with other features...but this is one of those things I hope to get my hands dirty with in the near future...tho till that time...I can't really offer much help or advice.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but i just setup my Vista MCE Machine and gameex along with xbox 360 extenders. I'm getting the same problem as stated above... Is consistent across all extenders, and will cause GameEX to exit and MCE to start up... Log file attached

Ok found the issue.. Just had to go into the advanced configuration and disable the Media Center Interaction with GameEx and now things are running smoothly again..
