  4. I used the "ELLY7YA4HXN6"... downloading now, can't wait to try it out! Congrats on the release!
  5. Thanks Tom!
  6. Thanks frequency!!
  7. So how do you go about setting up a gamecard? I tried doing a search for 'gamecard' but didn't see any details on how to set it up. Could someone point me in the right direction to get started? Thanks!
  8. LOL @ this thread . I play alot of 360, but love having the GameEx cab around for when i have friends over who want to bust out the old school games, like some DK or Golden Tee, etc... And having an arcade machine at home was always a dream i had as a kid!
  9. Thanks for the update tom!
  10. Ninja, great looking theme, looking forward to giving it a whirl!
  11. coming along nicely! Looks great!
  12. Nice, Clean Cabinet.. great work man!
  13. I had a 24" Dell LCD in my MameRoom Cab. I had it in there until i picked up a one of the Xarcade XXL sticks with a trackball in it and started playing Golden Tee.. After one of my friends almost put his hand through my 600$ LCD monitor i decided to yank it and put a 75$ 27" Analog Tv in there instead. But yeah the 24" LCD fit in there ok, it just felt like a waste (for me) since there aren't really any widescreen MAME games out there. -n8
  14. Congrats!
  15. the hiscore.diff patch also removes the warnings... they can be found on the BYOAC forums here: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=64298.0 Exerp: HISCORE DIFF's for all MAME versions without hiscore support (107u2 - current) The diff performs the following: 1) Adds hiscore support back into MAME 2) Removes all nag screens 3) Removes loading messages (decoding/decrypting/Updating Artwork, etc.) and the 'white box' when loading. (This was added to the diffs starting with hi_120) 4) Disables crosshairs by default. You can turn them back on in the game with F1 5) Tab button(menu) also pauses MAME and 1 acts as 'Enter'. Remove the inptport.c section if you do not want this(or just remove it from the ingame menu)
  16. plz delete.
  17. Lol nice ... Yeah make sure you get the "Evolution" model if your looking to buy now as they have a couple different types floating around... I guess they are also releasing some new models here sometime this year for Flight games and a S/V model (not sure what that stands for). That along with one of these hooked up to the seat ( http://www.amazon.com/Buttkicker-BK-GR-But...6106&sr=8-5 ) approx 5 feet away from my 120" screen makes for some serious racing/flying madness . I'll snap a few pix of the setup if anyone is interested--should also put some up of my cab now that it's nearing completion. oh and price is approx 299$ or so... I picked up one of the black ones from an Ebay seller about 6 months or so back... It's a pretty slick seat with plenty of adjustments out of box along with some decent (though a bit pricey) accessories you can add to it to make it even easier to adjust (my fav is the seat slider--they have pix of it under the "Accessories" link on their site).
  18. I think it is because the 360 racing games are just a blast to play ...
  19. If you didn't want to put a PC in there, you could grab an xbox360 and the 360 racing wheel for some pure awesomeness. For my place i got one of the playseats evolution ( http://www.playseatsusa.biz/ ) and have it setup with both the 360 wheel and the Ace Combat 6 flight stick for some overwhelming gaming action. Games: DiRT / Forza motorsport / PGR3/4 / Burnout / Test Drive... All a blast to play (DiRT is my favorite by far though ).
  20. I have a dual Mon setup for my GameEx machine, where i am running GameEX on the primary display and on the secondary was running GameExtender. I was looking to replace the gameExtender setup to show ESPN from the PVR 500 card that is already in my machine. Originally i was going to just have sports scores, highlight videos and other sports related info running but couldn't find any cool software/sites that has anything that was interesting. So my fallback was just to have my TV Tuner software (Vista Media Center / Win TV) running on the secondary monitor in place of GameExtender. Anyway to to problem: I start up the WinTV software and maximize it to the secondary monitor and then start up gameEx. GameEx then loads fine but the 2nd monitor the TV software 'frame' is still there but the TV feed is blacked out. Anyone have any ideas on how to get something like this working? Machine specs: -Dell OptiPlex 745 -ATI Radeon x1300 -Core 2duo -2 gigs ram Thanks!
  21. Ok found the issue.. Just had to go into the advanced configuration and disable the Media Center Interaction with GameEx and now things are running smoothly again..

  23. Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but i just setup my Vista MCE Machine and gameex along with xbox 360 extenders. I'm getting the same problem as stated above... Is consistent across all extenders, and will cause GameEX to exit and MCE to start up... 24. Merry Xmas to all of my fellow GameEx'ers!
  25. Of course after i post a bug report I began messing with the settings a bit and extended the refresh time to 10 seconds instead of the default 3 sec and things appear to be running smoothly so far (the past 2 hours or so). I'll keep monitoring it and see if i can come up with a repro and post the details back here... If things run good for 1 day or so, i'll try dropping back to 3 sec refresh update and see if i can get another repo. Thanks! -n8
