1.) can i anyway have gameex start up already in the emulated games section? in other words, when i start gameex, it's already on my list of emulators?

and 2.) anyway to change the order of the emulators on the list without manually changing it? for example, i'd like to list them in order of when the consoles came out, but don't want to mess with the dreamcast config, for it gave me so much trouble.

1) The only way to start up in your MAME list is to make sure you exit GameEx in the MAME list and have the following option set:

Enable/Disable Features(2)->Show Start Page First->No

The above option will start GameEx at the menu you were in before you exited.

2) The GameEx Setup Wizard is going to be released soon and it will allow you to change the order of your emulators.

actually, i just tried it, and exited out of gameex on my list of emulators, configed not to show start page, and it loads my list of mame games. that could be what you meant, but i wanted to know if i can have it boot directly to my list of emulators... ie nes, snes mame, the whole list would be the start page.

1. Use Flat Menus = YES in display section of config app.

2. You do have to manually edit the gameex.ini, but it's pretty straight-forward:

Just find the sections [Emulator_1], [Emulator_2], [Emulator_3] etc. in the ini.

This is the order your emulators (excluding MAME, which appears at the top) are currently displaying in (with Use Flat Menus set).

Swapping the CONTENTS of [Emulator 5] with the CONTENTS of [Emulator 1] will simply change their ordering on the list.

Backup the ini first, if you're scared of f'ing it up.
