Turned off all filters, still can't get all games on MAME

What do I do? I turned off the filter in Gamex. Said that I want all games including clones to show up and yet not all the games are showing up on the list. None of the Galagas and only a few of the NInja turtles for example. No turtles in time and none of the 2 player version. In total only about 3000 games in the list out of over 5000 that are supposed to be there. Any advice on what I do to fix this? Thanks.

Make sure allow imperfect is on. Your roms may need to be updated. Make sure you have the correct roms for the correct mame version.

I have imperfects on. And all the games work in Mame itself. They just aren't showing up in GameX. I have about 3050 games showing up but in Mame I have over 5000. Certain games like 2 player turtles and turtles in time are not showing up in gamex.

I have the same problem, but with Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter (Japanese version). My MAME config is default with edited paths, and my roms check out in both romcenter clrmamepro. I have tried changing all the imperfect and rom showing options, but to no avail so I reset to a default config.

You never said if you are updating after each config change.

I updated my romlist after each config change. Mysteriously my problem has been solved by 6.77 update... I think my romlists are now exactly the same.
