I just installed GameEx Evolution for the first time. Everything went great. I have added the N64 and NES.

Whenever I select either one of those devices I get that error. If I hit continue it works, but I have an empty file list. NO GAMES.

Can you please help me correct this issue. I've not had any luck getting it working at all.

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

Hi, its a bug for sure but its probably a path issue.

I suggest you try to setup the emulators in the Setup Wizzard first. Try building the lists in the setup wizard by clicking audit/edit list and also check the paths are correct.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I did build the list in the setup wizard, I even changed the path to the default path in the setup, and still I get the same error.

Oddly enough, the N64 emulator is working now without any issues.

I'm going to try a re-install to see if that works.

Thanks again for the quick reply,

Well I can now see all the roms in the list, but to  my dismay, the only game system that will play are the n64 games.

I've checked the paths to the emulators and they are all correct.

On another note,  I have an SSD drive as  my boot drive and I am using a different path other than C: for the install due to space limitations.

However when I run the setup, some locations for files are pointing to the c drive. I manually go and change the drive letter. Will this effect the game play?  Why does it still point to C: when I change the path during the install?

Last but not least, I have almost no control of the program at all.  It will not let me click on anything because when I try it changes, I can't click on anything at all unless I'm lucky. It's like it doesn't like my mouse, keyboard at all. I have  the same issue with GAMEEX Arcade. The wheel just keeps scrolling.  I can't do anything but select random stuff that happens to be on the screen when I press enter.

Mouse is a Razer NAGA

Keyboard: Raser Cortana

I have a bluetooth PS4 pro controller.

I'd send you a screen shot but it really wouldn't show anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

If you are getting a continuous wheel scrolling in GameEx Arcade, it is likely due to something creating input. Try opening Notepad to see if any characters display or the cursor is moving on its own. Otherwise, you need to:

- Remove all input devices except for your keyboard

- Launch GameEx Arcade

- No scrolling wheel activity  noted, then exit.

- Plug in your mouse and launch GameEx Arcade

- No scrolling wheel activity  noted, exit

- enable Bluetooth and pair your PS4 Pro controller...

Hi,

It was the Bluetooth receiver that was acting weird with the program. I removed It and it works fine now. Thank You.

I still have an issue with  mame settings path all defaulting to the C: drive even though I Install the program on the E: drive.

Even after I select the default mame path, I have to manually change all of the paths where everything is stored.

JUST SO TEDIIOS.   Is this the way it's supposed to work or is it a bug?

I cannot vouch for Evo, however, in GameEx and GameEx Arcade, you do have to set the paths manually if not where the apps/emulators default.
