Pinball X hanging on start-up screen

Hi guys 

I am building my first pinball cabinet and am in the process of setting up the software. I have been following mame in the box videos, which have been excellent in describing how to setup everything. I thought I had everything setup and working, all my visual pinball tables are running on my two display setup if I launch tables from file explorer but I can't get pinball x to run. When I run pinball x it quickly says pin2dmd not found and then it hangs on the pinball x screen on my playfield monitor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Do you have a pin2dmd ? If not, turn it off

Please post your setup,  pinball.ini and logfile for further investgation

Thanks for the reply. How do I turn off pin2dmd? I'll try that first and then if that doesn't work I will provide the other files you've mentioned.

There may be a setting in the pinball.ini file that you can set to false....

Or grab the latest version of pinballx, when you are installing it make sure the Box for installing PIN2DMD is not check
