ftp issue...[RESOLVED]

Hello,

I'm trying to login to the ftp as a member using filzilla but the login info provided in the ftp tab isn't working. 

Has that been changed?

Should just be your user name and password. Since you are a Supporting member, do not use port 22 - that is reserved for basic members upload only.

Thank you for the reply.  I was using port 21 and my user/login but filezilla won't connect.

Any other ideas?

I got it.  Explicit FTP over TLS seemed to do it.

similar problem. it started a couple of weeks back. explicit tls does not help:

 

tatus:    Resolving address of online.gameex.com
Status:    Connecting to 109.236.84.149:21...
Status:    Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status:    Insecure server, it does not support FTP over TLS.
Command:    USER [email protected]
Response:    331 Password required
Command:    PASS ********
Response:    534 Policy requires SSL.
Error:    Critical error: Could not connect to server

 

Tried different clients, mac and win. both explicit and implicit SSL fail (implicit runs on a different port, but tried just in case). Have you changed to  a new FTP service ?

All ive done is make SSL required. It does run under explicit. I'm not sure wht you are having issues. What clients are you using? Maybe there is an issue with them or you have some kind of firewall issue?

something changed since yesterday, and now it works... I have tried with Filezilla on win, and YumyFTP on MAC.  txs.
