I always meant to finish my theme and add a wide-screen version, but I just never got around to it. Now that I'm cheating on GameEx with wah!cade/Ubuntu, I want to make sure the original files don't get lost to a hard drive failure. The theme is 90% there, I just couldn't get the last 10% to work correctly, so if someone wants to take a look and fix it, I'd be eternally grateful!

You can see the logos here. The other files are for my theme background images (BBC). Tom, would you be willing to host these before the Rapidshare link goes dead?

Yes, sure. Just zip it all up and upload it at gameex.com. There is a theme upload feature.

EDIT: I see its just the template files. Ill download them and put them up for you.

Ok. Here is my "Please Wait" Logo and bar, and an alternative startintro logo.

The bar is what I like the most. It features Pac-Man chased by the Ghosts.

Note: There is an English and a Spanish version included in the Zip-file.

This is pretty nice. Cool idea, and your the first to tap into the new start intro logo.

I'm not exactly finished with this theme, but I decided to upload what I have done anyway... in case you wants it. I am going to continue working on it though, and you can expect one hell of an update. I just think the theme is nice and usable in it's current state.

Ok, so here's a few things:

-I would really like to have that media player thing I saw on a few of the default themes, but don't how to use that. Not talking about the top bar, I'm talking about the one with the visualization.

-New systems, including the Saturn, Dreamcast, Commodore and DOS will be in the next update. Mark my words.

-Same with backgrounds for media stuff. COOL backgrounds too, let me tell you.

-I didnt' do the icons like I said I would... I'll get to them someday.

-There are more backgrounds than the ones shown. And yeah I know I got lazy with some of em.

Anyway, you can grab it here. I don't have a name for it yet.

I just put the finishing touches on my first theme. It's really a casino based theme since most of the games if not all that I play aren't so much the arcade games as they are the gambling type games. I used a real nice shot Of Binions Horseshoe at night, matted out the marquee and that's where the snaps/AVI's appear.

They look nice. Not bad but... some of your choices for artwork are a little odd. Using Smash Brothers Brawl portraits to represent the N64 is a bad choice... and Metal Slug 7 isn't even a Neo-Geo game. You should pick more appropriate artwork for the icons.

I don't know how much work that you want to do, but it would be nice if there were a full set of matching icons for all of the major emulators.

Hey thanks again tom carls logo vids are cool and I really like Ninja Rygars theme but I was Wondering if he ever got round to making a sega saturn page for it cause that is all I am missing then I am done and can start playing this arcade machine which has seemed to taken me forever to make

Are there any high-resolution 16:9 themes available that are akin to the themes being produced for media frontends like XBMC or MediaPortal? Ones that look kind of like this, with an emphasis on assets that scale well to a 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 aspect ratio.

I believe there are a few higher res themes out there. Its certainly possible to create them.

Maybe Flashs' "Blue Balls" theme? (Search for it) But, as Tom said, it would be nice if some artists would create some new themes.

I might try that! I'm not much of a great artist but I could come up with something minimalist that scales well to HDTV and widescreen LCD displays for those of us who are cab-less.

My own customised widescreen theme. If you're wondering, no boxart or all that stuff. Nothing spectacular, just my cup of tea I guess there are still some things i'll tweak in the future, consider this v1.0 lol
