Hi everyone

it is possible to launch both FX2 and FX3 games via PinballX since some games Are not transferring  over.

If so,  what would be the process?

Thanks

Download PinballX 2.40 and you can configure both FX2 and FX3. But I am facing the problem that the Game List Manager only contents FX2.

We need to move most games to FX3 and leave some FX2 left.

I’m curious about this too. Got PBA up and running beautifully thanks to the latest version of PBX, but now that PBFX3 has launched, I decided to add it to my cab. Not to derail your topic, but how exactly do you get cabinet mode on pinball fx3 for a first time user?

Haven’t had time to do anything other than download the software and buy the universal tables. Did you read this topic? You should be able to add any table to game manager.

Yes, but since FX3 got its own configuration in PinballX it should also have its own list in Game List Manager otherwise you could not do your list for both systems I think. To get cabinet mode just open up a table in FX3 and hit ESC. You will see the options where cabinet support can be found.

Yeah would be great. I installed tonight ... but also for me with 2.41 I just duplicated settings from FX2 and changed to fx3.exe / applaunch etc... but tables don´t start etc.

So details like this: http://www.dietle.de/status-report-project-vpin-self-made-virtual-pinnball/ (scroll down to see screenshots of PinballX settings) would help!

-applaunch 1234 "[Tablefile]" still the same? etc. etc.

Ok I've read thru the topic provided immediately above; it does not answer the question raised in this thread. Given the issues with PBFX3, how do we run both PBFX2 AND PBFX3 so we can run either one? Since PBFX3 is still buggy, my preference is to run PBFX2 for all tables except the most resent three that only run on PBFX3.

Until Zen gets PBFX3 stable, not much you can ask of the frontend to fix their issues. Give it some time.

If you suspect you are having problems caused by PinballX, open a new thread with a thorough explanation of the issue and attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files for the community to review. Thanks!
