I wanted to try the lite version of gameex in hopes of maybe getting a menu system that handled nothing but games but after installing the light version, I tried reinstalling without the lite version enabled & it's still enabled.

How do I disable the lite version & go back to the full version of gameex?

What is this lite version you speak of? This was taken fron the Faq on the main page.

Q: I don't want all the new features such as DVD, I just want to play games, can I have a lite version of GameEx without the bloat?

A: There is no need for a lite version of GameEx, just disable all features you don't need in the configuration application then they will then not be available in GameEx, will not be initialised and will not take up memory.

No one knows?

I think I'm in the same situation. After installing the Lite version, I'm stuck with this feature even after an upgrade.

Does anyone know if this is a simple configuration setting that we can edit, or do we have to do a delete and install?

If a delete and reinstall is required, what are the minimum files that we should save so that we don't lose all of our configuration settings?

Thanks

TSpeirs said that the only difference between lite & full is different settings in the configuration but I went over all of them at least half a dozen times - literally. I think there may be a problem with installing the lite version & upgrading at the same time but of course, this is speculation.

Regardless, I completely uninstalled gameex, deleted the gameex folder, then reinstalled the new version. Haven't set up the new copy yet due to me adding more roms. I'll let you know how it turns out.

You're probably on the right path Marker007. When in doubt, just uninstall and reinstall. I don't know what all is stored in the registry, but you might have to go in there and check to make sure there are no "scragglers" left behind after uninstalling. Just like when you delete the folder.
