OK, I have GameEx running almost exactly the way I want without keyboard or mouse. My only problem is I cant stop the radio from playing. Does anyone know a commmand or option I may be missing? I dont have the audio controls showing either. Done on purpose. This is all amde to be driven by my custom sontrols via IPAC. Any help?

you could use the control bar at the top use pause it will stop playing the radio station

or you could get an MCE remote control gameex has good support for it and u can use stop button on the remote along with all the otehr features

I'm 99% certain there's an option to disable the radio from playing in GameEx configuration. Make sure you have the playlist option disabled as well.

.:EDIT:. It's the 3rd option down in the 'Audio' section - 'Play Music / Radio On Startup'

Hope that helps! :)

Thanks for the help. But I dont want to turn the option off I just want to be able to stop the sound withe a joystick. Also I dont want to use a remote just a standalone arcade with radio option.

There is no command via the IPAC in GameEx to turn the music off. Listed on the Home Page under docs. I used to be able to use the IPAC to turn my volume up and down but it no longer works. Does it work for you?

No the volume doesnt seem to work either. I really like GameEx but the interface for the radio and jukebox could be more cabinet friendly. I actually disabled the jukebox and Im using Arcade Jukebox 8. Looks like I will be disabling the radio too. :(

I totally agree. The jukebox and radio feature needs some polishing! I also have some "issues" with that:

- no keystroke to start/stop the music (cabinet friently) :(:(:(

- some albums don't show up eventhough they do have a correct ID3 tagging (bug?)

- why does GameEx automatically start playing the first song in the list when opening the jukebox, I would like to choose first... (anyone feels the same?)

and my very personal whish:

- free configurable jukebox menu as I'd prefer to have the "by album" as a standard (by now I have a few hundred albums included and to have the songlist first starts to become sort of complex B)

@j2m2t2

do you have a link for me for the "Arcade Jukebox 8" My google seems to be broken for the moment...

You guys shouldn't be discussing alternative software here. Use another forum.

Personally, I think its kind of rude

If you have a request then post it in the requests section, complaining about it won't help.

Sorry, didn't want to bother anybody, but we're not discussing alternative software. We just try to find a workaround for a weak point in the otherwise unrivaled and rocking GameEx... . :)
