How can I Create a LowRes Theme 384x288

Hi,

Im a new GamaEx User and buy the Lifetime Membership. I can´t find any Information about creating an own Theme for GameEx Arcade Version.

Pls Help...

There isn't any information available. The GameEx Arcade version is only skinnable by changing the type of font used in the gameex.ini file and by replacing the bak.mp4 and startbak.mp4 and creating a daphnebak.mp4 file to replace the existing ones in the default-default theme or you can copy the default-default theme and name it to whatever you like and make the necessary changes there (mind you, you will have to change the theme= section of your gameex.ini file to point to the new theme). You can also replace the logos in the media\logos folder of your theme folder.

You will need to experiment a little but it isn't that difficult.

Thx for Information. I will deactivate The Game Info Text windows because it overlays the video window. Is there anyway to Do this?

In the gameex.ini file, locate Enablepopupdescriptions=True and change True to False. Save the file.

Hey Draco, many thx! It works. Is ist possible to change the size of the "game-wheel"? At 640x480 or lower it is very big. Otherwise can I get a Dokumentation of the gameex.ini anywere?

No way to change that right now but I will look into it. I will have GamEx arcade running on my cab soon so will have a better idea.

If you want to dissect the ini and hack a bit look at the setup wizard.xml file for regular GameEx.

Does the text look too big for you too? What are you running it on?

Being able to control the font size a little more would be helpful. The text size is fine for my HTPC setup, but may be a bit big at much lower resolutions.

Here some Informations of my System:

- TV Ideal CAB (Twin line) with J-PAC-Adapter
- CRT Monitor @ 640x480 max!!!, better because flicker free @ 0 x 288.
- Intel E6750, 4GB, ATI 3450 + CRT-EMU, 120GB-SSD (System), 250GB-HDD (ROMs, Artworks etc.)
- EMUs: Groovy-Mame 0.171 & Dolphin 4.x

Hi, 

2 more Question: 

1. After Klick on the GameEx Icon in Windows GameEx Start and the Screen get Black. Now I must press Enter-Key/Return to start GameEx.
2. How can I Change the UI Sounds. Some of them i´ve found in the Themes Folder. But there are more sounds i´ll change. For Example the Start sound if I Klick the "Play this Game" Button.
