Problems with game filters.... how do they work?

I'm having some trouble getting some roms to show up on my list of games. I'm certain that it has to do with the filters becuase when I set OnlyWorking=False they show up.

Basically I'm trying to set up a list of roms that I'd like to show despite my filters. However, with the setup below, gunfight (as an example) still does not appear in my list of games.

Here is the pertinant config info:

OnlyWorking=True

AllowImperfect=True

GameFilter=Japan;Korea;Asia;Hispanic;bootleg;french;german;hack;prototype;hardwa

e;mahjong;

GameFilterOn=True

DoNotFilterROMS=gunfight.zip

*note* I tried using gunfight without the .zip and that didn't work either. I've also updated my list so that my config changes would take effect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm, I thought setting DoNotFilterROMS=gunfight *would* override the other settings???...

(Doesn't need the .zip part)

Couple of things to consider:

1. I think gunfight doesn't have sound and according to MAME's listinfo.dat it has driver status="preliminary". This may fail both OnlyWorking and AllowImperfect conditions...

2. Have you got VerifyRoms=True?

Have you updated gamelist after you choose to exclude a rom from the filter?

Just tried loading gunfight into my setup. Came up OK...

Check your config again? Here's mine...

I assume all your other games appear OK?
