Hello I am a newbie to Gameex and I am trying to get daphne working. I am using version 14.54 and have configured Mame successfully and I believe that I have Daphne configured correctly using the Advanced configuration. My issue is that I cannot get Daphne to show up in the Menu when I start Gameex. Is this because I have not paid for Gameex and therefore do not receive the customized Menu option? I have used the custom menus under Gameex and added Daphne but it still does not show up when I start Gameex. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

To help assist you we need more information about your setup. Please read this thread which details how to ask for help. Once we have your Log and Ini we'll be able to get started.

Tip: the log and Ini can be pasted into the forum in spoiler brackets easily by using the eye shaped button in the toolbar. This will help keep things tidy.

Thank you for reaching out to me. I have read the posts you sent me and here is the information.

I am using Gameex 14.54 and I have Daphne 1.0 working outside of Gameex. Here is the Gameex Emulator Config. One obvious problem is that I do not have Daphne selected and that is because I cannot seem to find it in the list of emulators. I am probably missing it but I have been through the list several times and I am not seeing it.

Hi there, we will probably need to see your log.txt file as well. As for seeing Daphne in the list of emulators, you won't if using the integrated Daphne support. You will need to set up your paths via the Setup Wizard. I hope this helps.

As far as setting up the paths for Daphne I believe I have done that. In the advanced setup I have enabled Daphne support and setup the paths for Daphne. Daphne works from the command prompt and I have set the paths up the same way in Gameex. My problem is that I cannot figure out how to actually start Daphne from within Gameex as I can't get any Daphne Menu to show up.

Is there something else that I need to do to get Daphne to show up in the menu when I start Gameex?

Hey Polewog,

GameEx places an option in the Emulated Games section called Laserdisc Games It is at the bottom of the list.

However, on the off-chance you are using custom menus via the GameEx MenuEditor, then you will need to create a menu entry specifically for Daphne.

Thank you very much. That is what I needed to know. Daphne works well now. I will be registering Gameex here shortly and then I will try to figure out the custom menu pieces.
