Bzguy
HI all, My PinballX setup is fine, however I noticed that some mp3's are not properly played, they sound 'garbled'. It's only for SOME mp3's, all the rest plays fine. I tested in VLC : it's garbled there too, while the same file plays just fine in Windows Media Player. Any ideas ? Codec issue ? Draco1962
Can you identify the mp3s and the source? What codecs are you running?
Bzguy
It's the 2 Table Audio files for Super Mario tables : 1) Super Mario Bros (Gottlieb 1992).mp3 2) Super Mario Bros Mushroom World (Gottlieb 1992).mp3 I installed PinballX 2.19 & I think it comes with the Shark codecs ?! Hoc can I check the codec ? It plays garbled in PinballX, in VLC too, but it plays ok in Windows Media Player.
Draco1962
Codecs are installed separately by the end-user. You will want to install the LAV codecs and a link to them can be found on http://www.pinballx.net/.

gStAv
Sounds like a recording error, but my files is good. Please try these attached files and check against yours and see if you get the same result Cheers Super Mario Bros (Gottlieb 1992).mp3 Super Mario Bros Mushroom World (Gottlieb 1992).mp3
Bzguy
Thank you gStAv ; I tried them, same issue. I followed Draco's advise and installed the LAV codecs, but still the issue remained. Then I connected the audio output from my play field (TV) to the on board audio output on my PC motherboard and then it worked Thank you all !
