PinballX minimizing on Startup

PinballX runs on starup and the minimizes after 5 secs. I assume its something booting up on the OS causing it to steal focus. How can i force it to pbx or troubleshoot?

I had the same problem and solved it by turning off Aero Shake in windows and also removing unnecessary programs that auto starts to the taskbar. Don't know which one of them that solved the problem but try any of them.

Sorry to up this, but this is happening to me in Windows 10 and the solution above does not work. Any ideas?

I also went to the sartup folder and set in properties of the shorcut to start maximized.

I traced this to an issue when I have the network cable plugged in. The nik car might be taking focus away from pinball X at startup. Is the a script or a program that can determine loading order at startup? If PBX is loaded last then we wouldn't have this issue,.

I did some more playing around and it was the samsung SSD magician software that was in the startup folder that loaded after PBX. Once I disabled it from starting up all is good. Fortunately for me I don't need that running all the time. I would recommend you troubleshoot by typing MSconfig and uncheck a bunch of startup programs to see whats the root cause.

As a general rule for a dedicated cab, you probably should disable most things from auto starting except the bare necessities. I will be stopping quite a bit on my rig once I get it to a stable state. Windows 10 has quite a bit enabled that will be disabled once I get there. Glad you got it sorted out!
