Okay, This is a little bit complicated.  Game manager puts the files in "Real DMD Videos."  They will not run from there.  If you move them to "Real DMD Color Videos;" or create one, since the install only makes one in the primary VP folder, they run really well.  They look very nice and will execute one time.  Then the DMD goes back to the Pinball X Logo animation and about ten seconds later an error message pops up.  "Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.  If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.  Not enough storage is available to process this command."  Hitting "Continue" crashes PinballX to the desktop.

I just copied the extracted files into the real dmd dir and they worked like a charm.  Running pin2dmd with firmware 2.05, pinballx running on windows 10.  Let me know if you need more info Tom.

I'll try the new ones but I just copied them to the old real dmd video dir where the black and white vids were.

*I just realized that I am running 2.12...i am updating to the latest and will copy them to the color dir.

This is today's log, created using the new MP5 version of the videos.  Looks like 8 GB of RAM isn't cutting it anymore. Once again, the DMD played through 100% perfectly, then stopped.  The backglass went blank, the Pinball X video began to play on the DMd, and then PinballX crashed to the desktop.  Let me know if you need anything additional or if you want me to try anything else.

Regards,

Dave

Ok, just upgraded to 2.13 and tested the avi files.  I moved them to the color folder (as they aren't detected in old folder) and the worked good.  When you switch off the color in the settings app and use a single color like red, the vids are "crisper"  as they don't seem to have additional artifacting around the words.

Thanks. Really not sure about the memory issues and how its only apparent with these videos but I am looking for antialis issues etc. Could you please try something like Elvis which is single color and let me know if you see issues like that. I have uploaded what is complete to the FTP: -  media\visual pinball\Real DMD Color Videos

From what I can see the videos are good but I really cannot tell for sure without a device.

Hi Tom, your videos run perfectly in color on my PinDMD3!!! Nevertheless, I would prefer some videos only showing a loop animation of the respective pinball logo (Attack from Mars, Addams Family etc...) instead of some fake scores that I've never really played. You know what I mean? But nevertheless: Great, no complaints :-)

Cheers

Timo

P.S.: Your latest PinballX Update is awesome: No more crashes when scrolling through the tables or whithin attract mode!! I am so happy!
