Mame Resolution and my tv

Hello all and point me out to something in case i already missed it.

I have no problems running gameex or mame on a regular lcd or crt montior....however

when i hook it up to a plasma tv (maxent), it dosesn't display the odd resolutions of games.

the screen will display blank at my desktop res and say no support. this also happens when i mirror a monitor to plasma...

is there any way to force mame to a resolution or/and sctrech to fit if its too small? thanks

I'm very much a noob and am still trying to get things to work correctly myself but i did notice in mame32 that there is a setting in options>interface options> to stretch the screenshot. might help. good luck.
