I've just spent the last couple weeks worth of evenings setting up VP, FP, FX2 and PinballX.  Until our home renovation is done I won't have room for a Pincab.  So to scratch the pinball itch I decided to run PinballX in desktop mode on my driving and flight cockpit.  My main monitor is a 42" 1080p landscape monitor with a secondary 1080p 23" landscape monitor on the right side.  I've managed to get VPX, Future Pinball, and Pinball FX2 all running with animated backglasses on my second monitor with working DMDs.  Then I started focusing on Pinball Arcade and it has been a headache.  Is there a way currently for desktop users to do the same thing with Pinball Arcade?  I tried the Freecamera mod but discovered it will only operate in portrait mode.  Am I going to have to give up on the DMD and just load animated blackglasses with PinballX?

So far as I am aware, you will be limited to DMD and backglass video displays as Free Camera Mod was designed with pincabs in mind due to the lack of dedicated pincab settings within TPA. You could always ask the FCM author if he can create a version that works with that orientation.

I was afraid you were going to say that.  Going to take your advice and see what the FCM author has to say.  Thanks!

I use Actual Multiple Monitors to do the same thing. I've got a 40" landscape display that I use for both an arcade cab and virtual pinball. The only downside to this sort of mirrored setup versus the freecam mod is that you get two copies of the DMD - one on your main display and another on the 2nd screen. It's a bummer, since the simple fix would be if Farsight would ever simply support positioning of the backglass and DMD directly in their app. I have my doubts this will ever happen due to licensing concerns from virtual pinball cabinet manufacturers.
